The POINTguard 210 measuring system is a microwave point level switch and consists of a transmitter and a receiver. It is used for limit level monitoring or level control of bulk materials , e.g. used in silos, pipelines, shafts, containers, sending / receiving or storage tanks.
Based on the latest technology, the transmitter sends out a microwave signal that is evaluated by the receiver. Bulk material that is conveyed into a storage container slowly builds up between transmitter and receiver. When the microwave signal is broken by the filling material blockage, a relay is activated to provide an alarm. Conversely, the system can also be used for low level monitoring when containers are emptied.
The POINTguard can also measure through non-metallic material. In the case of special operating conditions (temperature, pressure, special products), this enables decoupling from the container to be monitored.
